Catching UP – Alive and Well
I shudder to look at the last date I wrote as it was right before…
my retina detachment. On April 28th I had a procedure done in the retina surgeon’s office in order to mend my detached retina and deter a more aggressive surgical procedure done in the hospital. Unfortunately that did not work and on May 4th I had the real deal.
I am happy to say that my eye is healing nicely. I have not gotten the complete prognosis yet for the future. It seems that once you have a retina detachment the percentage for it to happen again goes up. But… I am going to enjoy my blessings and “look” toward the future optimistically.

Roz Views: Extreme Makeover: Home Edition – After the Storm
Tonight was the first of four one-hour episodes of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition – “After the Storm: Mississippi!”Â
The team visited Biloxi to see how they could help start the rebuilding and healing process. On first exploration of the area you could visibly see how touched they were by what they saw. Just thinking of one’s home and possessions — and worst yet family members and friends — being wiped away in a moment’s time is one thing, but seeing it first hand it quite another. (On a personal note I remember how I felt being trapped in Manhattan on 911 and each time I watched the Twin Towers fall on TV day after day… family members, friends and colleagues looking for their lost! Almost five years later it is still very real to me!)

Roz Says: Turning the Clocks Ahead… turned my head!
Well, it’s 5:13AM and I am still here… I know, I know, I said I was going to catch a few hours sleep, but I could not resist checking to see when we change the clocks. That is my most favorite time of year as it feels like we are being given the “gift of more time!” The days have already started getting longer, but when the clocks are pushed forward they get longer bigtime!
I found this great site at: http://nationalatlas.gov/articles/boundaries/a_savingtime.htmlÂ
that provides history on switching the clocks and dates to do it. It says… Starting in 2007 there will be an extra month before the clocks are pushed back again, thus giving us an extra month of longer days!
This year, in most of the United States we turn the clocks AHEAD on the first Sunday of April. This year that falls on April 2, 2006. Now that I know when, I’ll literally be counting the days!

Roz Says: It’s 4:34AM – Why am I still blogging?
Persistence is not all it’s cracked up to be! Sometimes it is good, but there are those times when it is not so good! Now is one of those times! However…
I feel I need to say something, although at this moment I am more than a little wiped out and bewildered with all this setup stuff. You would think, you have one Blog set up the way you want it, and all you would have to do is copy the files over to the other Blog(s) and tweak a few things! Right? WRONG!!!
